Special Ed Liaisons

The Special Education Liaison is a parent volunteer elected by their school community to serve on their school’s PTA or HSA board (except for the Montrose and Out of District liaisons).  The Special Education Liaison is a point person  for support and advice for families of children who are struggling learners, or who are receiving services via I&RS, an IEP, or a 504 plan.  Liaisons do not represent the school district or board of education, but serve as a link between the district’s parent volunteer groups (the Special Education PTO and SEPAC) and their community.  They share their experience, offer suggestions and help connect families with resources.
